Intellectual property

The remittance and evaluation of received manuscripts will assume that the author(s) acknowledge(s) being the primary and exclusive title holder(s) of the proprietary and moral rights over the article, in accordance with the provisions of the Law 17.336 on Intellectual Property (Chile), and that if they used, be it totally or in part, someone else's work for the creation of the article, they declare having the respective consents or license of use of their respective title holders, or that their use is explicitly enshrined in the law.

The author(s) expressly release(s) the Center of Greek, Byzantine and Neohellenic Studies "Fotios Malleros", belonging to the University of Chile, belonging to the University of Chile, from any subsequent responsibility for any legal, statutory, or contractual violation it might fortuitously commit or have committed regarding the work, committing themselves to repair any damage which might result from the violation of these or other rights.

The author gives permission to the Center of Greek, Byzantine, and Neohellenic Studies "Fotios Malleros", of the University of Chile, to exercise, by itself or by means of a third party expressly authorized by the aforesaid Center, those rights which are specified below regarding the article that has been sent:

Publication, edition, reproduction, adaptation, distribution, and sale of the reproduced copies, including the online public availability, by electronic or digital means, of the article, in the Spanish language, in all known territory, be it Spanish-speaking or not, and for every kind of edition printed on paper, and electronic or digital, by means of its inclusion in the Journal Byzantion Nea Hellás or any other publication issued by the Center of Greek, Byzantine and Neohellenic Studies "Fotios Malleros".

The present authorization is conferred in a non exclusive, free, unlimited, perpetual, and irrevocable character while the corresponding rights endure, and releases the Center of Greek, Byzantine, and Neohellenic Studies "Fotios Malleros" of the University of Chile from any payment or remuneration for the exercise of the rights aforesaid.

The author will be able to use the material included in an article published in Byzantion Nea Hellás providing the information of the issue of the journal in which it appeared, having the right to deposit his/her article in repositories or institutional data-bases, for instanceRepositorio Académicos de la Universidad de Chile - Captura.

Permition to use the material included in an article published in Byzantion Nea Hellásis granted both to the author(s) and the users in general, provided the author and original publication by the journal are mentioned.

List of confirmation of preparation of remittances

As part of the remittance process, it is required of the authors to indicate whether their remittance meets the following points, and to accept that remittances not fulfilling these instructions can be sent back to the author.

The remittance has not been previously published nor has it been previously sent to another journal.

The format of the document sent is Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect.

Web addresses have been added for the references wherever possible.

The text's line spacing is single; the font size is 12; italics is used instead of underlining (URL addresses excepted); and all the illustrations, figures, and tables are within the text in their proper places, not at the end of the document.

The text meets the bibliographical and stylistic requirements pointed out in theNorms for authors, which can be found inAbout the journal.

If you are sending a text to a section of the journal which is peer-reviewed, you should ensure that the instructions have been met.

The names and email addresses included in this journal will be used solely for the purposes declared by this journal and will not be available for any other purpose or person.
