What happens when we mediate the voice after it is emitted? Taking as a starting point the amplification of the voice on stage as a phenomenon in recent Chilean theatre, its consideration as a process and as a transfer towards media is proposed. This analysis seeks to move the centre of vocal performativity outside the logic of traditional dramaturgical language that privileges the understanding of the text over the vocal event. Thus, a dialogue is presented between some of the main practical and philosophical currents of vocal studies, which intersects with the analysis of vocality from a posthumanist perspective, to understand the voice as an interstice, and allow it to be relocated as a performative and processual element that permeates space and other bodies.
