Abstract

To conduct our research with spectators, we work within the Comparative Studies of Theatrical Expectation (ECET) discipline. We have been working on theatrical expectation for over two decades at the Buenos Aires School of Spectators (EEBA, founded in 2001) and other institutions in the International Network of Spectators’ Schools (REDIEE). However, we are not only referring to the work we do at the Buenos Aires School of Spectators, and more recently at the Spectators’ Schools of Santa Fe (Santa Fe province) and at the Artistic Laboratory of Expectation at the Patagonian University Institute of the Arts (IUPA) in General Roca (Río Negro province); we are also referring to our work with artist-spectators, teacher-spectators, and student-spectators in undergraduate and graduate university classes (Dubatti, 2024a).
